The Department of Media, Communications, Creative Arts, Language and Literature (MCCALL) is seeking to appoint a highly qualified academic as Lecturer (Level B) in Multiplatform Journalism. The successful applicant will have a strong track record of research publications and/or grants relative to the level of appointment, and demonstrated successful teaching experience. They will have relevant industry experience, a strong understanding of current journalism practice, and the ability to teach video/audio production skills for multiplatform content. The successful applicant will be expected to: develop, convene, and review units in multiplatform journalism at undergraduate and postgraduate levels; lead industry engagement; supervise dissertations; contribute to a culture of high-quality research scholarship; and make contributions to the research culture, administration and outreach activities of the Department, Faculty and University.

The Role
The Department of Media, Communications, Creative Arts, Language and Literature (MCCALL) is seeking to appoint a highly qualified teaching-intensive academic as Lecturer (Level B) in Media and Communications. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of curriculum development and management, teaching excellence and innovation, and leadership in community and industry engagement in Media and Communications. This new continuing role is in Macquarie University's Teaching & Leadership Job Family. The successful applicant will be expected to: develop and convene units in Media and Communications at undergraduate and postgraduate levels; contribute to a culture of scholarship; engage with relevant stakeholders in the community and industry; and contribute to the administration and outreach activities of the Department, Faculty and University.
