The Emerging Scholars Network (ESN) at the International Association for
Media and Communication Research is pleased to announce a professional
development workshop focused on research methods to be hosted online April
3, 2023 at 12EST/18CET. The event will run for 90 minutes and include
presentations from our guest speakers sharing reflections on their own
experiences of applying methods to their research projects, as well as time
for discussion and questions from the audience. This workshop is the latest
in the ESN’s professional development series, which aims to share knowledge
with emerging scholars globally and address existing inequities in access
to professionalization resources by sharing knowledge from established
scholars in accessible formats.

*Our speakers are:*

Manuel Puppis, University of Fribourg – Switzerland. His research interests
include media policy, media regulation and media governance, media systems
in a comparative perspective, political communication and organization
theory.

Marisa von Bülow, University of Brasília – Brazil. Her research is
principally interested in transnationalism, new technologies and their
impacts on collective action, social movements and state-society relations.

Fernanda Rosa, Virginia Tech – United States. Her research interests
include code ethnography, transdisciplinarity, science and technology
studies, decolonial and feminist studies.
