Dear colleagues,
In September, we published our volume Collaborative Research in the Datafied Society. Methods and Practices for Investigation and Intervention (Amsterdam University Press 2024). The book presents examples of how to critically study AI & data practices up close and how to intervene and contribute to shaping the digital society. Now, we want to bring experienced practitioners of collaborative research , stakeholders and colleagues who want to learn about these research practices together.
Making a Difference: Societal Impact through Collaborative Research
On April 7-8, we will host a workshop conference at Utrecht University (Netherlands). Instead of paper presentations, we will have two formats: panel discussions and workshops. Panels are for discussing challenges and perspectives of collaborative research, workshops are for collective learning.
There is a range of topics suggested in the Call for Workshop & Panel Ideas, but please send in whatever you find relevant to be discussed or developed in this space: https://dataschool.nl/en/news/call-for-workshop-ideas-making-a-difference-societal-impact-through-collaborative-research/
Keynote speakers
We are excited to have Prof. Payal Arora and Prof. Rob Kitchin as keynote speakers.
More program updates will be published soon.
