Open Secret<https://www.instagram.com/_opensecrett_/> is a touring screening of internet cinema curated by artist and researcher Dana Dawud, which to date has been exhibited in different forms in Sweden, Hungary and America. The works showcased integrate current and emerging technologies within internet culture such as AI, deep fakes, video games, and internet-found footage.

As well as a screening of moving image works, there will be the launch of an eponymous publication, edited by Y7<https://www.instagram.com/_y7_y7_y7_/>, that builds on the themes and provocations of Open Secret. This will be followed by a Q&A with Dawud and Y7 convened by Ian Rothwell<https://www.eca.ed.ac.uk/profile/dr-ian-rothwell> and Tamara Trodd<https://www.eca.ed.ac.uk/profile/dr-tamara-trodd> (History of Art, ECA) and a drinks reception.
