Hello AIR-L,
I hope this message finds you well. If you are attending the ASIS&T Annual
Meeting in Calgary this October, I would like to extend a special
invitation to a session that may be of interest to you and other members of
the Association of Internet Researchers.
*Session Title:* Building a Community of Practice in Undergraduate
Information Science Education
*Date:* Monday, October 28th, 2024
*Time:* 11:00 AM
This session is designed to bring together educators, researchers, and
professionals who are passionate about undergraduate Information Science
programs. It will be an excellent opportunity for networking, sharing
program-level outcomes, and discussing research ideas around the
pedagogical aspects of teaching undergraduate Information Science.
The session will feature:
- Introductions and networking opportunities
- Program-level sharing through a structured "Representative Fishbowl"
format
- Creation of a collaborative document-sharing platform
- Open discussion on research agendas and potential collaborative
projects
We welcome everyone interested in the growth and development of
undergraduate education within our field, and we hope to foster meaningful
connections and collaborations through this event.
If you're attending ASIS&T this year, we would love for you to join us.
Your expertise and insights could greatly enrich our discussions. Please
feel free to share this invitation with colleagues who might be interested.
Looking forward to seeing you there!
Warm regards,
