Thanks for emphasizing this important area of students as knowledge
creators.
We do the same using online learning portfolios available through free web
hosting services and currently our medicine department website hosts more
than 1000s of student online learning portfolios here :
https://medicinedepartment.blogspot.com/2022/02/?m=0
that get dynamically updated toward not just improving student learning
outcomes but positively driving patient illness outcomes through PaJR
groups.
More about PaJR here: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/22816797/
The first step involves students creating an online learning portfolio
centered around the real patients assigned to them, where they publish the
de-identified patient data as case reports online in their online learning
portfolio as a new post.
This is utlized toward team based learning by actively academically
practicing medicine faculty in improving their patient outcomes in PaJR.
More about it here:

These case reports are further shared on user-driven forums to facilitate a
system of online learning where the concept of Patient as a teacher is
emphasized.

This teaching methodology leverages currently available blended learning
modalities to create a case based blended learning ecosystem(CBBLE) which
is subsequently assessed through peer citations.
