Dear Colleagues,

We’re delighted to announce the publication of our special issue entitled, "The
Future of Conspiracy Theory Scholarship
<https://www.tandfonline.com/eprint/GCKGVUJDCWXCDVCBWUCY/full?target=10.1080/19331681.2025.2491687>,"
in Journal of Information Technology & Politics.

Inga Trauthig, Alice Marwick, Sam Woolley and I began this project with a
preconference at AoIR 2023 focused on new epistemologies and imaginaries in
conspiracy theory research. We are thrilled to share our special issue,
which consists of eleven articles examining conspiracy theory production,
spread, and scholarship throughout Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, and
North America. Together, these articles deepen understandings of how
conspiracy theories spread, who spreads them, the topics associated with
them, and the role technology and people play in facilitating them.

We would be honored if you would give it a read!

Warmly,

Zelly, Inga, Alice, and Sam
