[Air-L] AoIR.social (Mastodon) data retention

Hi, all --

If you are using or have used AoIR.social, the AoIR Mastodon instance, I 
want to let know that our hosting plan dictates that we set a limit to 
how long we retain data. It's pretty generous, but at a certain point we 
will hit the limit and need to trim out data -- stuff like pictures, 
video, or audio. As you probably know, we live in a finite universe!

So I am checking those limits this weekend, but in case you're concerned 
about losing anything, know that you can backup your data at any point.

To do so go into your Preferences -> Import/Export and hit the Export 
button. It should go pretty fast (I just did one and it happened within 
minutes).

Ultimately, there will be a point when older data is not retained, so 
please do make sure you're backing things up if they are important.
