Join us for an insightful session with *Dr. Yik Chan Chin*, Associate
Professor at Beijing Normal University, and *David Raho*, PhD researcher at
Sheffield Hallam University, as they present their collaborative policy
report on *Interoperability in AI Safety Governance*.
Developed through the *United Nations University Institute in Macau*, this
landmark study brings together perspectives from four jurisdictions, *the
UK, China, South Korea, and Singapore, *to explore the ethical, legal, and
technical dimensions of AI safety governance.

*Key Highlights of the Webinar*

   - Examination of interoperability as a cornerstone for reducing risks,
   fostering innovation, and building public trust.
   - Case studies across three critical sectors: *education, cross-border
   data flows, and autonomous vehicles*.
   - Insights into the UK’s *principles-based approach* to AI safety
   governance, its international alignment efforts, and the challenges of
   achieving cohesive global standards.
   - Actionable policy recommendations designed to strengthen
   interoperability in line with global frameworks such as the *UN’s Global
   Digital Compact*.


This presentation will not only share the *key findings of the global
report *, but also provide a deep dive into the UK’s role in shaping a
governance ecosystem that is both *globally informed and locally grounded*.
