Sorry for cross-posting. I am sharing two tenure-track job positions in the broad areas of media technology at the College of Journalism and Communications, University of Florida. 
The Department of Media Production, Management, and Technology (MPMT) at the University of Florida’s College of Journalism and Communications invites applications for one assistant professor position and one associate/assistant professor position with a focus on media technology and/or management, starting August 2026. 
We are looking for two faculty members who conduct original research that examines the psychological processing, and/or the economic, societal, ethical, and cultural implications of media technologies, including, but not limited to, the following areas:
• Entertainment media
• Artificial Intelligence (AI)-related technologies, such as social robots, generative AI, recommendation systems, and algorithms
• Social media/mobile media/user analytics
• Digital culture and strategy
• Platform studies 
• Science and Technology Studies 
• Law and policy
• Media and technology startups, organizations, and industry development 
Applicants are expected to demonstrate a solid theoretical basis for understanding media technologies and use diverse traditional or innovative methods to analyze and explain media practices and/or media management strategies.
