Queen Mary, University of London (QMUL) is seeking an External Examiner for its MA in Digital Media and Global Cultures.<https://www.qmul.ac.uk/postgraduate/taught/coursefinder/courses/digital-media-and-global-cultures-ma/>

We are seeking a candidate with academic expertise in the field of Digital Media. Applicants should hold a postgraduate qualification (minimum of a Master’s degree) in a relevant area.

The External Examiner's role would include


  *
review and approval of set assessment
  *
review of assessed work and feedback
  *
attending the Subject Examination Board
  *
producing an annual report to the Degree Examination Board

Examination Boards are held online.

Criteria for the appointment of External Examiners includes:


  *
knowledge and understanding of UK sector
  *
competence and experience in the fields covered by the programme of study, or parts thereof
  *
competence and experience relating to designing and operating a variety of assessment tasks appropriate to the subject and operating assessment procedures
  *
familiarity with the standard to be expected of students to achieve the award that is to be assessed
  *
fluency in English

The duration of an external examiner's appointment will normally be for four years.

Previous experience as an External Examiner is desirable though not essential. It is also required that the External Examiner, if appointed, would not hold more than two External Examiner positions, including this appointment.
