Dear colleagues (with apologies for cross-posting),

I am delighted to share that Issue No. 9 of the Journal of Sound, Silence, Image and Technology (JoSSIT), entitled “Networked Creativity: Musicking in the Social Media Era”, which I had the honor of editing, has been published in open access.
This issue explores the diverse ways in which musicking takes shape across different contexts, with particular attention to social media and multimedia environments. These are understood as spaces that foster the development of interconnected forms of creativity among music producers and their audiences.
It includes articles by Juan Bermúdez, Thomas Michel (Université Paris Cité, France), Elizabeth Falade (University of Groningen, the Netherlands), Paula Aguilera Martínez (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona), Beatriz Medeiros (Universidad Mayor, Santiago de Chile), Lucas Bazzara (Universidad de Buenos Aires, Argentina), and Ariel Grez Valdenegro (Universidad de Santiago de Chile), as well as reviews by Maritxu Alonso (Universidad de Oviedo), Ana Sedeño-Valdellós (Universidad de Málaga), and Cande Sánchez-Olmos (Universitat d’Alacant).
