Dear Colleagues,

I am excited to share the news of my latest book, Music Technology Panic Narratives Beyond Piracy: From Taping to Napster to TikTok<https://anthempress.com/books/music-technology-panic-narratives-beyond-piracy-pb>, published today by Anthem Press. While conversations about music technology are often reduced to simple debates over "piracy" or economic loss, this book looks beyond the copyright lens. It investigates how the internet and emerging technologies are framed as existential threats to culture, social order, and the creative process itself.

I would love to engage with any AoIR members working in similar areas of moral panic, digital music cultures, or the history of internet technologies. If the book interests you, feel to reach out and let's chat!

Best,
David
