GESIS Meet the Experts – New online talks on “GESIS Guides: Survey Methodology and Digital Behavioral Data explained” (Starting April 23rd)
The GESIS online series "Meet the Experts" will start its 10th season, this time on “GESIS Guides: Survey Methodology and Digital Behavioral Data explained”!
High-quality research data is at the core of GESIS. This expertise is reflected in the GESIS Guides, which provide structured, practice-oriented information and recommendations for research using survey data and digital behavioral data. Are you looking for a practice-oriented overview of key aspects of survey planning and implementation? The GESIS Survey Guides offer guidance grounded in methodological expertise and research practice. Are you seeking a modular introduction to the collection and analysis of digital behavioral data, including data management and research ethics? The GESIS Guides to Digital Behavioral Data provide a starting point. In this season, authors of selected GESIS Guides will present their work and offer practice-oriented introductions to current topics in survey methodology and the collection and analysis of digital behavioral data.
Here are the dates of the one-hour online talks (Thursdays, 1–2 pm, all in English):
23.04.2026, 1 – 2 pm: GESIS Guides: Transitioning from interviewer-administered to self-administered mode designs in repeated cross-sectional surveys (Heller)
07.05.2026, 1 – 2 pm: GESIS Guides: Overview of Adapters for Tuning Large Language Models (LLMs) (Romberg)
11.06.2026, 1 – 2 pm: GESIS Guides: Non-Probability Surveys (Felderer)
09.07.2026, 1 – 2 pm: GESIS Guides: What is Computational Reproducibility? (Bleier)
After the presentations, our experts will be available for further discussion and to answer questions.
