New Media Studies at the University of Minnesota invites presentation proposals
for a three-day conference about innovative research methodologies for new
media. The conference is meant to provide a forum for researchers who either a)
use new media technologies to further their existing research methodologies or
b) use innovative research methodologies to further their research into any
aspect of new media.<o:p></o:p></FONT></SPAN></P>

face="Courier New"> <o:p></o:p></FONT></SPAN></P>
<P class=MsoPlainText style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><SPAN
style="mso-fareast-font-family: 'MS Mincho'"><FONT face="Courier New"><SPAN
style="mso-tab-count: 1"> </SPAN>Successful
proposals will be 5-7 double-spaced pages and will focus on a methodology
employed for research in the field of new media. The paper should include a
description of the methodology employed, how it can be used, and its particular
advantages and disadvantages. Researchers who submit accepted proposals should
be prepared to conduct a twenty-minute presentation, in workshop format,
focusing on how the methodology has been applied in their own work, and how it
can be applied to other kinds of research projects. All kinds of methodology
will be considered, including but not limited to innovative twists on existing
methods of quantitative and qualitative research.<o:p></o:p></FONT></SPAN></P>
