A quick look at CIA Factbook's figures reveals that in
India there is more equality of income consumption
than in US or Canada or Brazil.
In India top 10% populaton (by income) consumes 33% of
the income
and bottom 10% consumes 3.5% --shocking ?
https://www.cia.gov/cia/publications/factbook/geos/us.html
See for US
top 10% --- 33%
bottom 10% ---1.8%
for Canada:
top 10% ---23% better than India
bottom 10%--2.5% worse
Brazil even worse:
top 10% ---37%
bottom 10% ---0.7% ONLY!!
Any comments?
Umesh
PS: Indian economy is slightly bigger than Brazil's
(at 700 Billion USD) and smaller than Canada's US$1.0
trillion
