  Assamese NRI to chair US President’s dinner
 GUWAHATI, June 1 – Assamese NRI Dr Naba Goswami, currently residing at St Clairsville, Ohio, USA, has been invited by the Republican members of the United States House of Representatives and the House Majority Trust to serve as the honorary chairman of the 2006 US President George W Bush’s dinner at Washington DC on June 19, according to an e-mail message received here.

Dr Goswami, who is currently the chairman of the US Physician Advisory Board and Adviser to the US President on Health Care and Reform, was recently appointed to the US President’s Business Commission in recognition of his extraordinary leadership and promoting a pro-business agenda in Washington DC.

Dr Goswami, MD, is a graduate of Guwahati Medical College and is originally from Uzanbazar here.
