[Assam] Fwd: The Khasi saga

[muktikam phukan]

  This refers to a mail I recently posted. It was a UNI report on a book written by Dr Satyakam Phukan titled " Ecossais - The Khasi Saga" The report came in the newspaper "Sentinel" published from Guwahati.
   In response to this mail, Mr Rajib Das opined that he knows Dr. Muktikam and asked to take anything he says with a pinch of salt. For this he recalled some conversation he claims to have had with Dr Muktikam.
  But, there is no Dr Muktikam. Because I'm Muktikam & I'm no doctor. Of course Dr Satyakam is my brother. But I posted the news item as it was found fit to be published by a paper of the stature of 'Sentinel". Now the question arises, someone who doesn't even know the name of the person correctly, I doubt what correct recollection he has made of the conversation he was reffering to. Secondly, before commenting on the book, one should read the book or find out information on the book from reviews or any other source. Commenting like this is rather ungentlemanly on the part of educated and intellectual people.
