Unfortunately such "MERIT" is needed by these elite institutions to
survive and prosper. Tuition fees won't do that. And a 'Central
Govt.' does not fund them.
So the bottom line is: The brand name is just that! It does not
guarantee a high-quality end product! One could get a lemon in a
shiny and glittery wrapper.
