[Assam] [christiancouncil] Immediate response needed please -Secularism & minorities

I have changed my views about reservations a bit . I now follow the US model of who are minorities and oppressed. Thus, India should do away with religion based minoritism (and be secular in its real sense) and prevent any educational or business establishment from barring anyone for admission/jobs on the basis of their religion (and do away with the 1992 Supreme Court judgement and Article 29 & 30 of the constituion which are anti-secularism). And then , choose minorities as based on caste or race or tribe.
The two should go together --just like reducing class size by itself is not good enough --it must be coupled with better teaching techniques --to improve student achievement.

Thus, anyone strategy by itself would not be good enough --indeed it would be going against those who do not belong to that particular faith who runs that "minority educational institution" --thus, currently a minority Muslim or Buddhist or Sikh cannot get admission to a Christian run school --unless he competes in the 50% general quota seats with others --even if s/he is granted Dalit status. As is known all top colleges and univs in India are run by global Christian missions from overseas.

  Any comments?

Panel seeks public opinion on SC converts

New Delhi, June 08: The National Commission for Religious and Linguistic
Minorities (NCRLM) has sought public opinion on requests to designate
Scheduled Caste Hindu converts to Islam and Christianity as SCs.

The NCRLM is also holding discussions with different private and
non-government agencies over the matter, the Minority Affairs Ministry
said today.

"NGOs and members of the public are requested to inform the commission
of their views within a period of three weeks," it said in a statement
here.

Last year, the Centre directed the NCRLM to deal with demands to specify
Scheduled Caste converts to Islam and Christianity as SCs as part of its
larger terms of reference.

Headed by former Chief Justice of India Ranganath Misra, the commission
is entrusted with the responsibility to recommend welfare measures for
disadvantaged sections among religious and linguistic minorities.
