More About HBS Working Knowledge Changes

Dear HBS Working Knowledge reader,

As we've mentioned in this space for the last several weeks, HBSWK will launch a redesigned product in early July. How will HBSWK change as you know it?

* With a new text font and page design, articles will be easier to read. More links to related material will also be provided.
* Each story will include an executive summary and takeaways.
* Readers asked for more ways to search our archives, such as by industry or geography. These will be available, and improved search tools will arrive in the summer.
* You also asked for more articles by and about the work of the HBS faculty. Faculty-based research and ideas will be the core of the new HBSWK, and written to offer practical insights and advice for managing yourself and your business.
* New content will be posted on HBSWK most days of the week, not just once a week.
* A section will be devoted to HBS working papers—often the first place where tomorrow's mainstream ideas become accessible to the public.

Some things won't change:
* The weekly newsletter will continue to be sent to subscribers as it is today.
* HBSWK will remain free of charge.
* The content will be chosen and written to deliver our readers practical advice as well as cutting-edge ideas on the subject of business management.

Our last issue of the current HBSWK will be June 19. The new product is scheduled to debut July 5. We will be excited to hear what you think!

http://hbswk.hbs.edu/item.jhtml?id=5377&t=bizhistory

http://hbswk.hbs.edu/item.jhtml?id=5374&t=heskett&oid=5362&rid=5374&hid=-1&aid=-1
In the cost-driven U.S. service economy, are worker benefits being sacrificed in the name of lower-cost services to customers? Are these social costs more than offset by the benefits of job creation, the consumption stimulus that spurs job creation, and lower unemployment? Others: please respond by Tuesday, June 13 at 10:00 a.m. EST.
