[Assam] teaching jobs for international - the fighting chance

Hope someone can help -even if my moral support alone.

After sending all required documents to the visa contractor by post alongwith ($3,400) in post dated checks (dated tomorrow) towards H-1B visa fees (exhorbitant - in comparison the maximum fees for any other category is only about $200) incl $1,000 premium processing fees (so it gets done faster --a good way -instead of paying bribes like in India).
Having $106 in my Bank of Ameirca account alongwith only $100 left in American Express traveller checks (which I got from Thomas Cook India , Jaipur branch) I had been banking heavily on external support to see me thru -not only for visa fees but also to meet my living expenses till Oct 1st (many students/grads etc might be working on the sly as hotel waiters/cooks etc but it would look bad if in the current anti-illegals drive a Harvard Grad is caught doing that).

My benefactor from LA seems to have a temporary shortage of funds so I have been on the phone with all friends and family (I called my father's phone today [he had gone to sleep] for the first time since I left India -nearly 21 months -he generally does not stay at our home where I call infrequently). I am hopeful that like the time I was seeking sponsors for $50,000 for the Harvard edu - incl a wild bike ride and stay in Delhi for 20 days in April 2004 -somehow landing $35,000 loan/sponsorship from overseas (LA) and managing pauper-style at Harvard to bridge the budget gap -- I would be able to seek help within this week (my visa ends June 30th, 2006 and I (visa contractor) have to send the application atleast two days before that to INS). I am seeking support from all. Some might help --starting with a trickle. I am hopeful that my well wishers would be more eager to help someone who has a fighting chance to work and repay than the time I was requesting funds (ten times
the current amount) for mere study at Harvard.

  Any comments?

Hi,
Anyone interested in teaching jobs in US (for whatever number of years after your OPT is over) might be interested in getting visa sponsorship (guaranteed) from www.sonlightinternational.com . I am doing the same -my student visa (F-1 on OPT ) is ending this month end.

Most employers in US are reluctant to sponsor foreign employees for the work visas (H-1B) hence the role for visa contractors/consultanst like the above -who take a certain percentage of your salary.

Since there are still many spots on the H-1B cap for this year - those wishing to start work on OPT might also consider this option . The benefit is that on your resume you can now only mention that you are eligible to work in USA (for any length of time) - and do need need sponsorship by the employer. While you are teaching you can do internships or volunteer work in IEP related non profits -and gain valuable experience not found within any Univ. campus.

Pl. get back to me if need more info.

Regards and Best wishes to recent IEP & IE grads.
