  ATASU hails PCG talks

 DIBRUGARH, June 22 – Expressing satisfaction at the successful completion of the 3rd round of Centre-PCG talks at New Delhi today, the All Tai Ahom Students’ Union (ATASU) said the development is ‘very positive’ and hoped that this would pave the way to a logical conclusion to the ongoing peace initiatives. Speaking to The Assam Tribune here, ATASU spokesman Lakhya Konwar said his association now expects the Asom government to take the initiative to release all jailed ULFA leaders. ‘We are hopeful of better days for our beleagured state in the near future, basing on today’s positive developments,’ he said.
