Hi BK:

I don't know that I have anything to hold up for anyone to emulate.

Also, being stoic has never been one of my stronger suites. Nor am I 
one to turn the other cheek -- mostly that is. But one thing is for 
sure:  I decide when to take offense, when to feel bad about myself. 
I have a pretty darn good idea of what I am, and what I am not. Thus 
no one can make me feel lesser than what I am, or inflate my ego by 
telling me things that I know I am not. Sticks and stones may break 
my bones, but words -----:-)!

Am I boasting, bragging?

Actually far from it. I just am a realist, and learned long ago how 
to protect my own emotions from being played with or controlled by 
others.
