[Assam] Hindu Piety! denigrating Hindus & authoritarian rule in Rajasthan ?

For those who can read an understand Hindi - more on the controversy -- this news is about arrest of MA Thomas and his son from Delhi - the report says that as per court documents etc - they are the publishers etc of the controversial anti-Hinduism book - "Haqueequat" -meaning "Reality."

  I had been following the story on Rajasthan Patrika for quite sometime but since most on AssamNet do not know Hindi I did not present the link. Emmanuel Mission is famous in Rajasthan for their 300 odd schools and 300 churches set up by MA Thomas who was granted the high Central govt honor -Padma Shri - on nomination by Kerala state govt - in 1990s. 
   
  The recent controversy -which took an ugly turn -began it seems - when the Mission published some book and distributed free to the public - denigrating Hindu deities and esp Swami Vivekanand's trip to the West. Lots of protests took place -even on top of Mission's buildings BJP supported groups -inlc burning the effigy of MA Thomas.  
   
  It is surprisng however that the state govt took the step of annuling the Mission's registartion. It news news to me , however that the Mission runs orphanges. 
   
  We did enroll many students (I recall many were Muslims) from their schools -into jaipur School's secondary classes.

NEW DELHI: The Lok Sabha was on Monday abruptly adjourned after 
protests over alleged attacks on a Christian mission in Rajasthan.

Speaker Somnath Chatterjee adjourned the house after Bharatiya 
Janata Party (BJP) members protested when Left MPs raised the issue 
during zero hour. The BJP is in power in Rajasthan.

Suresh Kurup of the Communist Party of India-Marxist said five of 
his colleagues had visited Kota in Rajasthan and found there has been 
a systematic campaign against the Emanuel Mission Institution there 
for the last three weeks.

According to Kurup, the state government had frozen the mission's 
bank accounts, resulting in a shortage of food for the children 
lodged there.

But the BJP MPs protested against the remark, and Chatterjee 
adjourned the house after his repeated pleas to restore order were 
ignored.

The mission runs orphanages all across Rajasthan.
