Hehehe!. But I think the whole idea of changing the name could have well
be brought about to cause some diversion just before the elections ( a "wag
the dog" idea?).
BTW: Even the militants have got into the fray - it seems, they want it to
be "Kamrup" or "Pragjyotispur".

Now, this name change thinge will continue for a couple of decades, and
there will still not a solution. As many have already pointed out, there are
far more pressing problems for the Govt. and people to be concerned with.
Is there a chance that this was Delhi's doing? (you know, behind the
scenes). Some of our netters may have already pinned the tail on the donkey,
I am sure (the Delhi donkey).
