        Hi friends,

  Interesting development, visit http://www.missionnetaji.org.

Congress is trying to save face according to some news paper.

Govt to table Netaji probe panel report in Budget Session
Forward Bloc sceptical, says findings may be ‘too controversial’ and Centre may extend panel’s term or set up new commission of inquiry. Nandini Guha Kolkata, January 3: THE report submitted by the Justice Mukherjee Commission of Inquiry, probing the disappearance of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose in August 1945, will be tabled in Parliament along with the action taken report (ATR) in the Budget Session of Parliament begining in February-end. This was indicated by Congress MP Priya Ranjan Dasmunshi, who today said that the Cabinet would follow the procedure with regard to the report. Speaking to Newsline from Delhi, he said: ‘‘We shall do the needful. The ATR is taking some time to get prepared. We will present this as soon as the next session of Parliament begins.’’ 0){ dc.write(''); date_ob.setTime(date_ob.getTime()+43200000); dc.cookie='he=llo; path=/; expires='+ date_ob.toGMTString();} // --> However, Forward
Bloc MPs, who have earlier demanded that the government should table the ATR and the inquiry commission’s report in Parliament by the middle of the Budget session, expressed their scepticism. ‘‘We met Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil and requested him to table the ATR and panel’s report before the break in the Parliament’s Budget Session in March. The Government said it was taking time to prepare the ATR which was statutory. But they may play for more time and extend the commission,’’ said Subrata Bose, Forward Bloc MP. Bose said his party fered that the government may seek either fresh appointment of a new committee, or simply offer an extension to the one-man committee headed by Justice Manoj Kumar Mukherjee set up in 1999. ‘‘We want the government to table the report which says, with evidence, that Bose did not die in the plane crash. But this might prove to be too controversial and the government may simply set up another commission,’’ said Bose. Justice Mukherjee, who
has earlier expressed his dissatisfaction at the way the Ministry of External Affairs handled the visit to Russia and Taiwan, said the report must be tabled at the earliest, though he would be unwilling to head another commission of inquiry. ‘‘It is in national interest that the Commission’s report be tabled immediately. I am not however keen to head another inquiry mission,’’ he said. Interestingly, Bose’s daughter, Anita Pfaff, who was recently in Kolkata, said that the commission’s report should be tabled soon, though she still subscribed to the view that her father had died after a plane crash in 1945.
