[Assam] Regards to Sri Bhuban Boruahda & Baidew from Jogen Kalita, London: Pl forgive me.

Respected Baruahda and Baidew,
   
  Thank you so much for emailing me through the assamnet. I am back to my King's College, London again for a short visit program sponsored by the Royal Society, UK. I shall be here untill X-Mas.
   
  I really become nostalgic remembering those colourful days you both and your family members together with the all assamese families in UK did so much and contributed a lot for the development of Assamese Culure in London, the greatest cultural centre in the World. 
   
  Baidew was all for us then. She encouraged us so much that we could together orgainse Silpi Divas and Rabha Divas for the first time in UK's soil remembering our great assamese nation builders in 1997 and it was just the begining. Anupam Saikia, from Cambridge talked about Jyotiprasad Agarwala and Ms Lily Das Malik was present amongst many other distinguished guests. All those were organised at Nansen Village where I was staying with my family then.
   
  Then being the first President of the Asom Sahitya Sabha Branch which was just formed in Oct 1998  YOU  did so much we do really acknowledge it from our heart.
   
  Your whole family was also helping me and my wife personally during my time of need in many occassions that I never forget. I can not say that Assamese families are not helpful! Pl forgive me if i really meant that.
   
  I still remember those days when Baidew selflessly helped Dr SK Boruah family from Ghy whose only daughter Panchalee was fighting with leukemia in London Hospital. Baidew organised everything for her help and even for creamattion in the end. It was a terrible time for all of us here in London. Dr Jugal Kalita from US and many learned members in the Assam net helped us financially responding to one of our our appeals.
   
  Dada & Baidew, you will always be in our mind. Pl do keep in touch. We are fine. Prity and my kids may join me in Nov end.
