*** That is quite appalling Rajen.  Not that I am at all surprised.
Even if there were to be an Editor, it would have made little 
difference, if we can draw some inferences
from the prevailing trends in the English language press of Assam today.

In that, even though I don't always subscribe to your " Assam is 
doomed because of the Assamese." lament, this time I  MUST :-).
