  You are righ but who will bell the cat? Our Indian historians are content at letting ancient buildings and things crumble -as long as foreign tourists keep coming to look at them. Do you think people like Romilla Thapar would allow Archeological survey to undertake restoration work for religious artificats and books etc -- they are so secular :-)
