[Assam] Assamese script, alphabets

Dear Umesh

If you learn the Assamese script you will kill two birds with one stone as the Assamese and the Bengali scripts are virtually similar. But you must have a valid reason to learn a new language. Ou time is valuable and there is a saying in Sanskrit that one should acquire knowledge only of those subjects which help acquire wealth. The problem with learning a new language is that after learning it you might forget it unless you have use for them.

I am now tryingt o learn Assamese alphabet. Doesn't seem much different from Punjabi or Gujarati or Bengali or Hindi or Sanskrit. Has the same phonetics .
