[Assam] Passing of a Close Friend

Last night, around 2 AM, our close friend , Krishna Das,  wife of Dr. 
Pradip Das, mother of Joy and Jit , daughter of  Aparajita mahideu 
and brother and sister-in-law Drs. Chandan and Kavita  Saharia of 
Guwahati, passed away.

She lost a 3 year old battle to Leukemia that she fought valiantly, 
with courage that was, to me, exceptional.  I don't know if it was my 
optimism or if it was Krishna's determination and refusal to give in 
to this particularly virulent strain of the ailment, I held out the 
hope that if someone was to beat it, it would be Krishna.  But it was 
not to be.

We lost a wonderful friend, and her family a devoted mother, wife, 
sister and daughter. And so many  across the USA lost an ever 
smiling, always caring and upbeat friend, whose memory we will always 
cherish.
