A media professional who has travelled through all the
streams of media. He started out in the field of
journalism and then moved on to other streams of
media, such as television, events and films. He has
been associated with various publications as a writer,
journalist, correspondent and editor. He has served as
the Assistant Editor for "The Herald Times" and as the
Associate Editor of "Asian Photography".

He has been associated with various television
productions in the capacity of a director or an
executive producer. As an Executive Producer for In
Network, he was the member of the core team, which
launched two city-based channels InMumbai and InDelhi.

He has also directed several ad-films and corporate
films for clients like Amul, Crush, Indane, Energizer,
Sansui and Reliance. He has also produced an in-depth
series on Indian fashion, called "Fashion Avenue" for
worldwide B4U Network & FTV.

He has been creatively involved with several high
profile events. He has co-directed the AD-CLUB AWARDS
1997 with Nirang Desai (an advertising professional).
He has co-directed the 1st LUX ZEE CINE AWARDS 1998
with Feroz Khan (one of the most successful directors
in Indian theatre). He has also co-directed the 1st
SANSUI VIEWERS CHOICE MOVIE AWARDS 1998 and "AYE WATAN
TERE LIYE", a multi-star film industry event for the
Indian Army, with Anupam Kher (one of the most
prolific actors).

His particular interest area is music, and especially
South Asian music. His efforts towards getting the
music of South Asia together on one platform resulted
in the first ever South Asian concert, which was in
aid of the earthquake victims in Gujarat. UNITED FOR
GUJARAT held on the 13th May'2001 in the Jawahar Lal
Nehru Stadium, New Delhi, brought together four of the
most popular bands from South Asia. Euphoria and Silk
Route from India, Junoon from Pakistan and Miles from
Bangladesh performed at the concert, which was very
well received by the international media. He was
instrumental in introducing the sufi-rock group JUNOON
to India when they performed at the 1st Lux Zee Cine
Awards. He also handled their initial media promotions.

He has also designed several corporate
launches and promotions for various companies and
organisations, some of which are: an Italian firm
LIBERTI's Liberblu collection, which was accompanied
by a ramp show featuring many leading models and
choreographed by Sangeeta Chopra ; CONCORD designer
watches ; MONSANTO, a multinational life-sciences
company ; SANSUI, an electronics giant ; ORIGIN
Technologies, a computer software company ; SAARTHAK,
an N.G.O. for which he designed and directed
Hope-A-Live, an event which included leading school
bands of Delhi ; He has also conceptualised and
designed a Special Auction of Unique Numbers for
AIRTEL, a mobile telephone network company ; a
corporate show for ERICSSON featuring the Jazz-Blues
band of Babush Santana and Ashley Lobo's dance troupe.
He has designed shows for COLGATE-PALMOLIVE including
the re-launch of Charmis cosmetic cream.

He has been one of the event coordinators for the
Garden City Festival of Magic, held in Bangalore in
1997. A first of its kind, and a unique festival of
magic, where more than 200 magicians from all over the
world took part.

He was the Producer of a musical "The Chorus Line",
which was performed in New Delhi and was extremely
well received, with Ashley Lobo as the choreographer.

He was also asked to co-ordinate the UN Foundation Day
celeberations held at the UN headquarters, New York on
the 24th Oct.'2001. Euphoria from India and Junoon
from Pakistan performed together at the UN General
Assembly Hall in a unique first of its kind event.

He is presently working in the Hindi Film Industry as an Executive
Producer. He was the Executive Producer for the film "Socha Na Tha",
which is Produced by Sunny Deol & Directed by Imtiaz Ali.

He was the Co-Producer, along with Salman Ahmad (the lead member of
the band Junoon), of a short musical film "Ghoom Taana", based on a
song by the same name, sung by Shubha Mudgal and Salman Ahmad of
Junoon. It featured Nandita Das. This short musical film was a unique
Indian-Pakistani co-production, with equal number of cast and crew
from both the countries, Directed by Saqib Malik.

As an Executive Producer in Yash Raj Films, he produced the film
"Dhoom", Directed by Sanjay Gadhvi.

Sangam (New Delhi).
Diploma in Film and Television Production from Xavier
Institute of Communication (Bombay).
