[Assam] Visa issues

How about if I am on work visa to work in US and on a vacation get a small education evaluation project to work on in a thrid country while visiting India - paid for in US dolllars by Washington DC based education non profit?  That will show on by SSN card but will it affect my US work visa condition that in US I can work only for one employer. Will my working for a US employer ina third country (which I would show in my US income tax) be a problem?

some techie NRAs might have similar experience?
