Amingaon IIM
  
 Sir, –Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh in his Independence Day broadcast declared that 30 new Central Government institutions will be set up in different states of the country where no such institution exists. These include Central Universities, IIT, IIM etc. He declared that 7 new IIMs will be established where there is no such IIM in the State. One such IIM should be set up in Assam. The expert committee set up for the purpose of setting up IIM in the North East suggested to set up an IIM at Amingaon. As most of the MPs from Assam are interested in vote bank politics and not in any development, let our present Chief Minister take the initiative once again to set up an IIM at Amingaon. – Yours etc., SASANKA KUMAR DUTTA, Hatigaon, Guwahati.
