thats a good one. SOmeone seems to have accepted that it had relevance "once upon a time long long ago..."

C'da, the above was in response to what you wrote below, and yes, it is different from the
headline.

And regarding extremism, does it have to disappear first to see that its becoming irrelevant?
Is that the litmus test?
OK Let us set aside views of Sabhapandit for the moment. Lets assume he is wrong, like many others before him.
But who answers the questions people of Assam may have (that is, if they are relevant)? Those who are shouting hoarse of the importance and relevancy of extremism, might want to explain to the people of Assam, for whom they are fighting, how and why they are relevant, important, and possibily even necessary?

post: " NE extremism has lost relevance"
Has it? Who decided it has? And if it indeed
has, how come it has not disappeared ?
Also one must not forget what has NOT been said
but implied: That it HAD relevance at one time,
just that it no longer has. And if it did, how
so? And if it does not anymore what has changed?
Just read the ToI Editorial posted by Rajen this
morning. Or look at:
http://thelede.blogs.nytimes.com/2007/03/15/where-chairman-mao-still-sows-revolution/
What did it say? How does that fit with this
verdict of Sabhapandit's? Or is it restricted
only to NE India?
