Hello Dr.

There are good people and bad people in politics and in all spheres of life.
True, AGP betrayed the people's aspirations. They were voted to power on the
promise of deportation of illegal Bangladeshis. Assam's current demographic
mix however does not allow any political party; this comfort of going
against this great vote bank, till the account turns bad debt- like the way
the Cong (I) have found out lately:)

I have closely interacted with many top AGP leaders during that period. The
meaning of politics is the *business of staying in power;* and in Assam one
cannot stay in power without the support of these voters, who normally stamp
enblock. So AGP fell pray to the lure of power, money and the patriotic
fervor went up in smoke.

In any case '*shubh shubh boliye*'.
