I agree with you the Queen’s speech is more to do of being ambassador to her people and not a leader in the political and government sense.There is a reason for that. After Diana’s death in such tragic circumstances, the people of Great Britain could not believe that she died as she was such an extremely popular Royal icon to them. As they use to call Diana: the people’s princess. She would always reach out to the normal people in life by being friendly and spending some time with them and not like the Queen who keeps her distance.The Queen immediately realised this after Diana’s death that if she was to be a good and popular figure amongst her people she would have to reach out to them the way Diana did.That is why in British History for the first time Her Majesty:The Queen is willing to give her speech live on youtube by allowing her people and also all over the world to share her immortal video clips with everybody.
