Very well said Sudhir.
**** Allow me to add another thought:
There is a very good likelihood of Pakistan entering a period of deep
turmoil, which will affect India, Afghanistan, Iran and the world.
The fact of Pakistan and India's enmity, based largely on the
contention over Kashmir has been a contributing factor to what is
playing out today. Will there be a temptation on the part of certain
segments of India to exploit Pakistan's instability? Should it ?
The political policies that Sudhir alludes to that have been
instrumental to the emergence of Islamic extremism ( it was not
ALWAYS there, as contemporary history will amply bear witness to) is
NOT limited to Palestine. Are there causes far closer to home? And
how should that be dealt with and by whom? As informed individuals,
we cannot and should not turn a blind eye to that, like we point out
why those others in those shoes ought not to.
