  The Khanapara Rongali Bihu Sanmillan
  The public of the greater Khanapara area of the Guwahati city has been celebrating the Rongali Bihu festivities in Khanapara since the year1974.The Khanapara Rongali Bihu Sanmillan is one of the premier cultural institutions and has had utmost support of the people of from across Assam and the Khanapara area in particular. The Sanmillan has had the proud privilege of being graced by a galaxy of icons in the field of arts and culture. It has provided the platform for innumerable notable artistes/stars to showcase their talents to the masses in the best traditions of the Assamese culture.
  The Khanapara Rongali Bihu Sanmillan, as per tradition, has decided to usher in the Assamese New Year, with the celebration of the festivities this year with a 4(four) days program from the 13th to16th April 2008, with a wide array of activities. The variety of activities encompasses the aspects of cultural, sports, literary etc. 
  The General Body Meeting has entrusted this year's celebration to the newly elected Organising Committee headed by eminent social activist and Assamese nationalist Mr.Gopinath Das, as the president and popular social activist and technocrat Mr.Amitabh Choudhury, as the General Secretary.
  The Organising Committee has made elaborate plans for this year's celebration with an array of socio-cultural bonanza for a budget of over a million rupees.
  The Organising Committee of the Khanapara Rongali Bihu Sanmillan, with utmost humility, seeks the blessings and well wishes of the Bihu loving public. The Khanapara Rongali Bihu Sanmillan expects the help and co-operation from individuals/organizations/corporations in making the festivities a grand success.
