[Assam] Harvard: Spend money on others and buy happiness - (not to drunks?)

I suppose the key point is excercising one's generosity - the gesture/the thought of giving - in cash or in kind. 
Buying food for the drunk begger is also giving. 
 
Putting him into a rehab would be a permanent solution, but there is only so much that a "regular" person (other than someone like Gandhi or Mother Teresa) can do.
