Ms. Mukhim has hit the nail on the head. The state of Indian sports has
always been like this, specially when it comes to representations to the
Olympics or some other even.

Is it any wonder why India fairs so bad (in spite of boasting of a 1 Billion
plus).?

It is not that India does not have talent. It probably does, but given the
level of corruption, favoritism and politics in sports, it is very doubtful
India can ever shine at the Olympics.

There ought to be some sort of "enquiry" as to how Sania's mother became a
part of the contingent. But who will conduct it? The Sports Authority in
India Don't hold your breath though!

One wishes, it was ONLY sports that corruption has seeped into. All one has
to do is to pick up almost any facet in India, be it land deals,
school/college admissions to much touted government endeavors, and you can
almost always zero in on corruption governing it.

It is just so sickening.
