With the campaigns by various students’ and youth organizations gaining momentum in Asom with every passing day following the historic judgements of the Gauhati High Court which ordered for deportation of 50 illegal Bangladeshis, the overall political as well as law-and-order situation in the State has become very fluid. On the expected lines, the multi-cultural society of the State has been polarized into two main camps — pro-detection and anti-detection, nay, anti-Bangladeshi and pro-Bangladeshi.
