dear friends,
                  I am including some links to research papers related to the Kalita community of Assam. These papers say that though the Kalitas migrated to this part of India at a very early period in history they are not genetically close to the mongoloid tribals. I am quite astonished to know this as i myself belong to the Kalita community.Kindly have a look at these papers or their abstracts( some of the links contain only the abstract of the papers) and post your comments.
