Dear Sir
The multi-factoral milieu forbids prediction about a deterministic future. I am not sure about the world of spies and intrigues. But, if history is any guide at all, then the marginalised population ( its size depends on who had been excluded, it is usually the entire population sans the elite middlemen ) shall always remain dissatisfied. Else, the so called 'accords' whether in Assam or elsewhere would have solved the problems long ago. I do not find any quarters really wanting to give quietus to issues that cause vertical division among people so that they fight it out among themselves when all looters have a field day. In the given matrix, I do not think problems will be solved with any one's ascendency. By the way, the present day politics in Assam and India revolves around factors like 'caste', 'religion', 'language' than any other factors. Can Mr. Bhattacharyya really become a Chief Minister? I tend to believe that his efforts shall be
torpedoed. Unless ofcourse, the quirk of fate, say the Assam Movement of the Eighties that brought the likes of PM/BP/Bharat Narah into power.

Congrats UB - THAT WAS A GREAT essay.
Just about sums up the work of the Strategists/ Psychologists at RAW or such---to have picked up just the right moment to have A&C "Surrender" and THEN get Samujjal come out with bombshells to re-enact 1979>1985. Climax will come when Samujjal will ascend the throne of "Liberated OXOM".
And THEN every enmity will be forgotten for the sake of Mera Bharat Mahaan.

but they can hardly speak/ compose a complete sentence in Assamese.
