[Assam] On Bush

One does not become "brave and a patriot" by throwing a shoe at a visiting
President. And if he had to express his frustrations, I think he would have
been given the opportunity to speak. AND he was supposed to be a
"journalist".
Most western leaders take such incidents lightly and say that democracy
gives people a right to express their view. Something that leaders from our
part of the world would never embrace. Bush even joked that the shoe was
size 10. Imagine what would have happened if he had thrown a shoe at Saddam.
Now, that would have been brave, for the consequences are well known.

Irrespective of what Americans think of Bush now, the majority were with the
President during the invasion. They believe that it's the President's job
and responsibility to protect the country and it's citizens that he knows
his job well.
