BIO-DATA of Dr Sunil Kumar Saikia:

Dr Sunil Kumar Saikia holds the degree of M Com, MA (Eco), LLB, PhD (Management) from Gauhati University and a diploma in Export Marketing from the Institute of Export Management, Baroda. He has been engaged in training and research in entrepreneurship development and small-scale industry for over twenty years and has specialised in the area of Entrepreneurship and Management including Export Marketing. 
 
Dr Sunil Kumar Saikia started his career as a lecturer in CKB Commerce College, Jorhat (Assam). Later he moved to Gauhati High Court Bar where he practised as an Advocate for a few years. He then joined the Small Industry Extension Training Institute, NER Centre, Guwahati (now known as Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship) in 1980. 
 
Presently, he is head of Enterprise Management Division in IEE ( http://iie.gov.in/  ) . He is also a visiting faculty in Gauhati and Tezpur University in the MBA department. 
 
Dr Saikia has carried out a number of research studies and also regularly contributed to various journals and newspapers. He is also associated with a number of academic and professional forums/bodies and held the post of honorary Secretary in Guwahati Management Association affiliated to the All India Management Association, New Delhi)
