[Assam] condolence

Bikash-da,

May the soul of your friend Gautaom find peace. I think it was the handiwork of common robbers who wanted the bike - it is not peculiar to Assam alone - it happens in DC too. Some years back (3) I was asked to handover my wallet and phone - I obliged - they had 2 pistols. Later I saw on TV about a 19 yearold father shot dead by his own schoolmates when they tried to rob him off his car.. He was an ideal student.

Justice delayed is justice denied.

I am in deep shock to hear this neas some hours back.Mr.Gautaom Kumar Kataki, son of Shri Dhana Kanta Kataki of Kalaigaon,working as Dy Manager, Koramor TE near Udalguri ( Britihs name Kherkheria TE with half in Bhutan) has been shot dead this morning at 1030 hrs by some unknown militants inside tea garden while on routine round.He was my childhood colleague and friend and one class junior till college days.he studied from Silchar REC in Civil Engg.Later having no choice, at the end of Assam agitation he did joined Tea garden as asst manager.Our home and Koramor TE is hardly 20 km.Is is shocking that now we need to die in our own home itself, none other than by our own brothers...(Who we always say as brother).Now with this I feel, we must stop saying them as brothers or such.
This morning he was stopped on a wooden long bridge inside TE by 4 youths.They did asked for the bike, while he refused, they simply shot him at close range in Taliban style and took the bike.Nearby people saw that.His wife and 2Â  sons do live in Guwahati.She just returned from him last night only.This is one of most painful incident to get digested. It is likely that newly formed AMLA or Avivasi tea garden united liberation front of Assam work for moneytary gains.They are coming up more barbaric now seeing or following ULFA footstep.
I wish we make strong protests for killing our own people in our homeland.ULFA or NDFB/BLT must look all before they claim their demand.......There are mushrooming or extremists in Assam, all over..... sometimes I found one man working for 5-6 groups..!!
I pray for the departed soul.I met him 17 yrs before while he dida sked me if he will go ahead to mary his girl friend, he met while travelling in night bus from GHY to Dibrugarh... a first love to follow for marriage in Shillong- heaven.
I wish God give harsh punishment to all involved, they must die or get killed like dogs!
