[Assam] Transcripts from GU -step by step approach

Tarun-da,

It is a minor problem since the univ officials may not know - like in my case when I wanted transcipts from Hindu Institute of Management, Sonipat or delhi univ.

 Just go to the office clerk , politely show them the format _ a printout from website showing details -- like what is required - name of the program - how many years , full time,  english medium of instruction, courses taken and what percent score etc. They might ask you to get it typed out yourself - like I had to . Then ask for the univ letterhead -- after some cajoling (as I did at Delhi Univ) they would give you a copy. On that letterhead get this info typed outside or if you know someone who knows he clerk - you can type it on the college office computer .

Make ten photocopies.

Then, let the clerk verify the records - or with original marksheet (from your possession) and you take it (with his permission and initials) to the principal's office. Politely talk to the assistant requesting permission to meet the principal - to get his signature at the bottom of the letter. - also inform her of the procedure (incase you need more later - or to help later applicants) . Carry cello tape or gum along - so that just after the principal signs or univ registrar signs (I don't think you need the VC's sign - I managed with my college principal's sign) - you shut the flap. Ask the principal to sign across it also. Then request the assistant to stamp across the flap. as well. 
Since you are it it I would advise you get atleast 10 copies done -- thanking profusely and smiling. You know everyone like to be friends with a person going abroad.
