Dear Manoj,
  This is very good step. Some days ago I to joined.But with my own experiences, I dnt feel police(Local) is going to help anyone.Like Bangalore police, Assam police will will be same. Here, Bangalore police is controlled by mafia- Auto Drivers/Taxi,Cab drivers.Then where are one is safe.When one informs about anti social activities, the police dnt take actions, they rather waits for things to hapen or looose life.Later they look for the umbrella.The criminal is caught, photographed with the Police commisioner, live telecasted and later released on bail.......and the Indian law is more pathetic.Finally the complainant is treated as criminal.
  Let us see how much it works.Kiran Bedi has been asked by Govt of India to retire... then I dnt think the usage of it.
  These all I am talking with my own bitter experiences.
  There was one big case against Air Sahara by me in 2003.The Bangalore cosumer court judge of course took hefty money( they are retired ones and well known for bribery) to close the issue once for all.Only since I am kharkhowa, was termed as extremist and extortionist!! Jai Hind.
